Our Team

Abby Corbett

Co-Chair

Hi! I’m Abby and I am a third year Strategic Management Coop student!  I am so excited to be one of the Women In Business Co-Chairs this year. Having been a part of WIB since my first year, as a General Member, followed by a year as the Social Media Director, and now Co-Chair, I have seen first hand the positive impact that WIB has on our campus and community. There is nothing cooler to me than seeing the development that our general members and executives undergo throughout their year long term with WIB. I am so proud to be a part of a group of women who live by the pillars of confidence, community, and empowerment everyday. When I am busy studying or working on WIB you can find me trying new coffee shops, cooking, or hanging out with my friends at uofa sports games!

Caris Bonkowski

Co-Chair

My name is Caris and I am excited to be one of Women In Business Co-Chairs alongside Abby for this year! I am in my 3rd year of my Bachelor of Commerce degree, majoring in Strategic Management with a Certificate in Sustainability. I look forward to seeing all the hard work of our executive team and members come together in the workshops, gala, and other exciting events of 2024/2025. Having done WIB as a member, VP, and now Co-Chair, this club has been one of the most impactful and rewarding opportunities in my degree. I am passionate about uplifting and encouraging others to dream big on their personal and professional journeys, and WIB has been a wonderful space for that. Beyond university, I enjoy backpacking, skiing, and anything else you can do in the mountains!

Maya McCaffery

VP Events

Hi! My name is Maya, and I’m excited to be the Vice President of Events for the Women in Business Club this year. I’m currently in my third year studying Strategic Management and Organization, and I’m passionate about creating events that help women grow, build confidence, and make lasting connections in the business world. Alongside Megan, our Events Director, I help plan events like interview skills, leadership panels, and networking sessions—all designed to equip our members with the skills and confidence they need to succeed. When I’m not planning events, I love traveling and meeting new people. I find that exploring different cultures and perspectives always brings fresh inspiration, and I try to bring that same energy to everything I do in WIB. I’m looking forward to another great year of growth and connection!

Megan Malo

Events Director

Hi! I’m Megan, I am a third year majoring in Accounting with a minor in Business, Economics, and Law. I was a general member in WIB last year and absolutely loved the sense of confidence and empowerment that WIB fosters. The lasting connections I gained with fellow students and knowledge I received from industry professionals have been so valuable to me. This year as the Events Director, myself and the VP events are responsible for envisioning, coordinating, and leading all of our fantastic events throughout the year. Fom resume building, to networking best practices, panels, and improv workshops; we aim to provide members with important skills and experience that they can use in their personal lives and careers. The experience of being a part of WIB so far has been so memorable and rewarding, and I cannot wait to make more memories this year alongside these wonderful women!

Vienna Christiansen

Hi! My name is Vienna, and I am a third year Business Economics and Law major with a minor in Psychology. I have always been passionate about leadership and community involvement, and am grateful for the opportunity to empower others through WIB! As a general member last year, I developed extensive professional skills and confidence in networking, which motivated me to take on an executive role. As VP External, my responsibility is to recruit companies and industry professionals who align with WIB’s core values to partner with our club and share their insights with our members. It has been incredibly rewarding to see our members benefit from these interactions while also witnessing corporate professionals gain valuable perspectives from our members. I feel so fortunate to work alongside such an amazing group of women and introduce the external community to WIB!

Camryn Jackson

Hi, I’m Camryn! After a fantastic experience as a WIB member, I’m excited to return this year as the club’s blog writer. WIB has been a huge part of my undergraduate journey, helping me build both personal and professional skills and grow my network. As a third-year Business Economics and Law student with an English minor, I’ve discovered a niche passion for business writing, which WIB has empowered me to explore. Through these blog posts, I hope to inspire our members and audience to think differently about business development, female empowerment, and personal growth. I’m grateful for the chance to share my interests and collaborate with professionals as we grow WIB’s online community together!
